Hi, we are a group of 6 students from River Valley High School Singapore participating in the F1 in Schools Challenge. Our team is made up of 3 male and 3 female. The guys do the engineering work and the girls find the sponsors.

About the Challenge
The judging criteria for F1 in Schools Technology Challenge will be based on both Marketing And Sponsorship Category as well as Fastest Racer Category.
Prior to the event, our team has to deploy CAD/CAM software to collaborate, design, analyze, manufacture, test, and then race miniature carbon dioxide (CO2) powered balsa wood F1 cars.
This event is judged based on the timing taken for our team’s model car to run on carbon dioxide (CO2) canisters along a 20m track. It involves the release of Carbon dioxide (of high pressure) in the gas canister to propel the car forward. The trigger for the release of carbon dioxide lies with our team members, who have to minimize human time reaction during the race.

Also, this event is also judged based on our team’s sponsorship achievements, team identity and marketing and designing of our team’s booth during the finals. Funds raised through sponsorship are invested in administering, developing and expanding the challenge.
